April started off great with the 18th Annual VF Outlets Berks Jazz Festival. I got to debut some of the new tunes from my upcoming Koch Records release "No Limits" (see more on this below) and then I took part in the annual Jam Session with some great musicians (Chuck Loeb, Rick Braun, Pat Martino, Richard Elliot, Gerald Veasley and lots more) which is always a blast. I also did several radio and tv interviews over the course of two days...it was busy but fun. If you've never been to Berks you need to correct that next year! See below for all my upcoming shows and as always, more are being scheduled every month so keep an eye on my website for the latest info. The big excitement in my world right now centers around my new CD. It's finished, being mastered now, and has a street date of June 24. I am really happy with this project and can't wait for you all to hear it! Have a great spring and I'll see you on the road!
Peace,

Nick debuted some of his new tunes from his upcoming CD for Koch Records, "No Limits", at the Berks Jazz Festival and the response was electric. The following is an excerpt from the show review at SmoothVibes.com. It's just a taste of what's in store on the new CD! "(Nick) is such a powerful performer and had the crowd soon in the palm of his hand. With a new CD entitled "No Limits" on Koch Records soon coming up, he delivered a few songs from this album, most notably the song "Melting Into You" that simply was mesmerizing and surely is destined to become a hit, the song evoked some strong and enthusiastic responses from the audience." Nick also sang "Hard Line", a new vocal which he co-wrote (along with "Melting Into You") with Grammy-winning singer/songwriter/rocker Jim Peterik who penned and sang "Eye of the Tiger".
The show, which was opened by keyboardist
Brian Simpson, was a huge audience hit and
the final comment in the SmoothVibes.com
review says it all: "This was another
outstanding performance by Nick, his concerts
are always a memorable experience." The
next day Nick also treated his fan club,
Kickin' With Nick, to a preview of the new CD at their
private get-together. There was dancin' going on to
"Godfather J", Nick's tribute to the late,
great James Brown, who WAS the funk! Photo by Peter Boehi, SmoothVibes.com

As many of Nick's fans know, he is very involved in mentoring and for many years has been volunteering at the St. Laurence K-8 School in Elgin, IL, where he serves as music director, counselor, chaperone, substitute teacher and whatever else the school needs. One of Nick's joys in this relationship with St. Laurence School is directing the Annual Easter Pageant, in which all of the children in grades 4-8 participate. This event is always standing-room only with parents, friends, returning students and local neighbors filling the church. Nick hopes you enjoy this photo of "his kids" shining bright.
