  • As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, Nick is particularly grateful to all of you for your incredible support during 2006.

"Always Thinking of You" from his Narada Jazz debut "Keepin' It Cool", released earlier this year, was on the charts for 38 weeks, and enjoyed a remarkable 19 weeks in the Top Ten! His new single, "If You Ask Me" has just been released and is reaching radio this month. Co-written by fellow guitarist Peter White and sax-man Steve Cole, it's a funky, upbeat tune you're sure to love! If you don't hear "If You Ask Me" being played on your favorite radio or internet station, be sure to request it!

2007 is already shaping up to be a busy tour year for Nick. In this issue, we give you a preview of what's to come in 2007.

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving...

Congratulations to Radio's Michael Tozzi, Carl Anderson & Renee DePuy

We normally don't mention radio comings and goings in Nick's newsletter, but three of late are really special, and involve some of Nick's favorite radio folks...

Nick joins his many Philadelphia-based fans in welcoming Michael Tozzi back to Philadelphia Smooth Jazz Radio. Michael returns November 17 as Program Director of Philly's new Smooth Jazz station, WJJZ 97.5 on Greater Media Radio. Philly has been without a Smooth Jazz station since mid-August and Michael will be relaunching the world famous WJJZ name to a loyal following. Congratulations Michael!

Nick is also delighted to congratulate Carl Anderson, most recently Program Director of WJZW Washington DC on his appointment as Vice President of Music Programming for ABC Radio Network. Nick has known Carl since his WNUA 95.5 Chicago days as music director, and wishes him the greatest success in his new position.

Speaking of Carl Anderson, you can't say he doesn't know talent when he sees it! His music director at WJZW was Renee DePuy, who will soon become the Program Director for the new Broacast Architecture Smooth Jazz Network. Renee returns to BA where she was previously MD, Director of Programming and Operations Manager. Nick congratulates Renee on her appointment to this tremendous new venture.

    And that's Nick's radio report!!!

Miner Works of Art and Nick
    Bettie invite

Noted artist Bettie Grace Miner is now represented by the Muir Fine Art Gallery in Houston, TX, and Nick is taking partial credit! Bettie was exhibiting her work at the 20th Annual JazzTrax Catalina Island Jazz Festival, and was featuring her new portrait of Nick prominently on the day of his show. The gallery owner saw the portrait, loved it as well the rest of her work, and invited Bettie to join his artist roster.

Bettie's debut at the Gallery is November 18 and Nick's portrait is featured on the Gallery invitation! If you're in the Houston area check out Bettie's website for more info - she'd love to see you there!

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS NICK COLIONNE?

There's one thing every Nick fan knows - you can't keep him away from the audience, or out of it!!! Here he is in the crowd at a KKSF San Francisco special event held in Walnut Creek, CA...see how long it takes you to spot him!

One thing this photo can't show you - how hot it was...at least 110 degrees when Nick took the stage. But the heat didn't keep anyone away from the event, which was jam packed with jazz fans who helped Nick in "Keepin' It Cool" no matter what!!!
