This summer the Potomac River Valley will be filled with the sounds of Smooth Jazz! WJZW 105.9 Washington, DC and the Lansdowne Resort presents ..."Jazz On The Potomac", a new summer concert series, also sponsored by Absolut Vodka at the lovely Lansdowne Golf Resort and Spa. The first concert was held Memorial Day weekend and starred our very own Nick Colionne.

Fans from the DC area, as well as Baltimore, New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia arrived early for a special "Meet and Greet" fan club event organized by fellow fan club member, Rusty O'Brien. The fans got to mingle with Nick and to relax with other fan club members prior to the show.

Concert goers sampled the Resort's wonderful upscale food and beverage items (including a fabulous array of Absolut Martinis) while enjoying the show. Two fan favorities, "Hollywood Dave" on bass and "Wild Man Chris" on drums supported Nick in getting the crowd up on their feet to party. At the conclusion of the performance, fans lined up to meet Nick and to obtain autographs, stating it was one of the best shows they had ever experienced.

Nick's performance was truly spectacular, and as a result he has been asked to return Friday, September 1 for the Series Finale. The Concert is complimentary, Rain or Shine, come, party and stay the weekend!

Smooth Jazz fans are counting the days until The Brian Culbertson All Star Smooth Jazz Cruise. January 27- February 4, 2007.

Two pre-cruise concerts will be held at the Moody Gardens Convention Center on Saturday, January 27th. The first performance features the Smooth Jazz All Stars in a special cruise preview show, followed by a performance by the legendary George Benson.

This year's All Star Smooth Jazz Cruise is hosted by Brian Culbertson and features a fabulous array of artists including: Boney James, Gerald Albright, Nick Colionne, Candy Dulfer, Down To The Bone, Norman Brown, Marion Meadows, Craig Chaquico, Eric Darius, Gerald Veasley, Pamela Williams, Maysa, Paul Taylor, Alan Hewitt and more, all supported by some of the best sidemen in the business, including Jim Culbertson, Ozzie Ahlers, Dave Hiltebrand, Chris Miskell, George Evans and more! There will be nightly headliner performances, midnight jam sessions, autograph sessions, poolside shows, and artist interviews throughout the cruise.

Last year's All Star Smooth Jazz Cruise, hosted by Rick Braun, was described by many as the musical event of a lifetime. The midnight jam sessions, hosted by Nick were the "hot ticket" on the cruise.
