TIME TO GET CREATIVE WITH BOOK DONATIONS!Donate Books Now!
By: Domingo

Big thank you to Charlotte Milan for doing a book drive for us on her 20th wedding anniversary! Our fall individual book sourcing goal is 15,000 books, and Charlotte's goal was to collect 1/20th of that. She surpassed her own goal and brought in 1500 books for us, which was a huge help! We really appreciate the effort she put in. Charlotte came up with a fun, creative idea for a book drive, and that means you can too! Do you have a unique idea  about how to collect books? Let us help get you started! Contact bobby@mtwyouth.org for more info on how easy it is!
VETERAN SPOTLIGHT ARTICLE: REY
By: Rey

My name is Rey and I'm a veteran of MTW. After completing a year at MTW earlier this year, I began working at City Year in August. I first learned about City Year at a MTW site visit and decided that this might be a good place for mReye to transition to. I'm currently working with first graders in Roslindale. MTW helped me prepare for City Year by supporting me with mock interviews and preparing my resume. I also learned teamwork, customer service, and became a regular at Open Mic nights. I'm planning on doing two years with City Year and then going  to college.

THE FIRST BLUE-PRIZE WINNER
By: Shanice

Are you intereLe Cordon Bleusted in cooking? This past month, the More Than Words transitions team visited Le Cordon Bleu, a school where you learn culinary arts. They teach you everything from the basics up to being a professional cook. After you graduate, you can cook for the military,  in a famous restaurant, on a cruise ship, or anywhere you want. Students take different types of classes and if you're lucky, you can end up cooking in places like Italy, France, and China. If you're interested in cooking, you should check them out. I know some of  us here at MTW will be!

What is transitions at MTW? Also known as the "you" job, transitions is the time we devote to working on achieving our personal goals surrounding our education, employment, and self-efficacy. To learn more, click here.

The MTW youth want to thank a special HP employee and Hewlett-Packard (HP) for their generous donation of 10 laptop computers. Their laptops will help us a lot to look up information about schools, employment, and moving our lives forward. We are so grateful for their help and kindness and hope that they know how much this means to us!
