SUCCESS AT A GLANCE
By: Charissa

My experience here at More Than Words has been the most successful time of my life simply because I got all of the support that I needed. By learning how to move my life forward from my peers and coworkers, I Charissa holding Urban College of Boston flyerapplied for college and was accepted to Urban College of Boston. In the fall I will be studying Early Childhood Development and I'm hoping to be a daycare teacher one day. I want to learn how to work better with children and get to know the basic needs of a child's everyday life.

KAPLAN CAREER INSTITUTE
By: Jaime

During Thursday's Transitions Shift, More Than Words went on a site visit to the Kaplan Career Institute in Charlestown. They were given a tour around the school and learned about three programs that the institute was offering: H-VACR, Electrician, and Computer Support Technician. I've decided to attend the Kaplan Institute and will be going for my Dental Assistant degree on September 13th. There is also another youth thinking about attending the institute starting in January.

MINDY POPP WOWS TRANSITIONS SHIFT
By: Jason
Mindy Popp's college process presentation was an expert's guide through what it takes to go to college. The More Than Words team responded very well to her presentation by asking many thoughtful questions. Overall Ms. Popp's presentation was extremely informative and engaging, leaving us with a better understanding of the college process. For more information, please visit  her online at http://www.poppandassociates.com.

A TERRIFIC DAY WITH BRANDEIS AT MTW
By: Domingo

Two groups of students from the Brandeis Campus Center and incoming freshmen spent a few hours on the 19th and 28th of August to help the MTW team run their business. They helped manage sections in the store, pre-scanned, sorted, brought in books, and talked about ways to continue our partnership. We really appreciate it so much and want to give a sincere thanks to all the students that were present at this event!
