Nexus between business & education sustainability to be focus of 2nd annual Sustainability Partnership Breakfast
SAN DIEGO - The nexus between emerging sustainability needs for both the business and educational sectors in the San Diego region will be the theme of the second annual Partnership Breakfast of the San Diego Regional Sustainability Partnership, to be held Wednesday, November 18 from 7:30 a.m. to Noon at the Q Auditorium at Qualcomm's "Building Q": 6455 Lusk Blvd., San Diego, CA  92121.  
 
The Breakfast will feature two expert panels along with audience participation and discussion, geared toward anyone considering entering or transferring into the "green jobs" market:
  • Business Panel - regional business leaders will discuss current sustainability trends, stimulus funds and the skills and expertise they are looking for to fill positions in the "green jobs" market. 
  • Education Panel - academic leaders will address sustainability curricula and training programs, stimulus funds in support of sustainability education and more. 
Also featured will be special guest speakers, sustainability-themed booths from local companies and organizations, and an update on the year's progress and achievements from the Sustainability Partnership. 
 
Registration, breakfast, networking and booths start at 7:30 a.m.  The program starts at 8:30 a.m.
 
This year's Breakfast is serving as a fundraiser for the non-profit, volunteer-based Partnership. Tickets will be available for purchase on-site (by cash or check only) at the following prices:
  • $10 - Students with student ID
  • $15 - Partnership members
  • $20 - General admission
A free Go Green coupon book - worth $5 and containing over $1000 in coupon savings -- will be handed out with each admission.
