There are a number of organizations outside of Maine who are contributing partners to Maine Memory Network. These include national institutions, like the National Archives, and regional leaders like Boston Public Library (BPL). This playful image--created long before the days of Photoshop--is one of more than 200 postcards that Boston Public has contributed to Maine Memory. We look forward to expanding the presence of Maine-related materials from "away" in the future. For a full list of the current 270 Maine Memory contributors, click here

Childrens Gate

This year's annual meeting will be a busy, festive affair. In addition to issuing awards for stellar service to Maine history and conducting MHS's official business, Richard D'Abate will pass the reins to new Director Steve Bromage, former Gov. Angus King will give a talk on history and leadership, and we will dedicate the beautiful and newly rebuilt Children's Gate which connects the Longfellow House to the Brown Research Library. Registration required and space is limited. For more information, please call Sara Archbald at 774-1822.
