Music in the House: Holiday Tours of the Longfellow House Accompanied by Seasonal Music on the Chickering Piano

Join us to hear the newly-restored Chickering piano in the Longfellow House. Holiday house tours will feature special musical accompaniment provided by pianist David Maxwell. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow purchased the Chickering square grand piano in 1843 and it became one of his prized possessions. Holiday house tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Open Daily This Week: Longfellow House Holiday Tours Through December 31, 2010 Tours: Mon - Sat, 10-5; Sun 12-5 (last tour leaves at 4pm). Museum Shop Holiday Bazaar Through December 31, 2010; in the Lecture Hall Mon - Sat, 10-5; Sun 12-5 MHS will close at 2pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, and will be closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
