We have over 55 fantastic contest entries, and we need your votes to decide on the winners!  8 lucky Super 8 filmmakers will win either a 4 roll film package, or get their original SD Super 8 film scanned to native 1080 HD for free!  contest photo

Voting will be done by the public through the "likes" and "comments" features on You Tube. "Like" your favorites on our channel or leave us a comment about the film (make sure you state which film you are refering to), and we will be monitoring the feedback to decide on the winners!   

 

Voting will take place until Friday, July 15.

The Rebel Filmmaker Teleseminar is going to touch upon many of the risks and rewards of being a "rebel" filmmaker.  This teleseminar will feature special guests Richard Kern and Nico B.

Nico is a writer, director and producer, best know for his work on the subject of Betty Page, one of the most successful 1950's pin-up models, and the short film "Pig." Do A Shot for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

 

 vigeant girlsOn September 17 & 18 in Santa Barbara, CA, Rhonda, Brittany & Jaclyn Vigeant will be walking 39 miles in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer,  helping to forever alter the lives of thousands affected by breast cancer worldwide. Together, we will unite with one purpose and one goal - to end this deadly disease. The money we raise will provide women and men the breast cancer screening, support and treatment they need regardless of their ability to pay. It will also help power leading-edge research teams across the country, fueling their quest for a cure - all because of you! Are you IN IT TO END IT?

We welcome and encourage our family of filmmakers and the power of Super 8 film to get involved with this amazing event. Pro8mm will be hosting our "Do A Shot" at the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, filming the thousands of walkers who are fighting for a cure. For $25, you can register to "Do A Shot" at the walk, and we will give you a roll of film to shoot the event. You can borrow a camera from us our bring your own. All the film and the money will be donated to the Avon Walk Foundation. We hope you will be a part of this wonderful experience.  If you would like to register, please email Jaclyn@pro8mm.com

Where: Santa Barbara, CA - will will announce a specific location along the walk route to meet.

Another Successful Year at Cinegear Expo!

 

We had another very successful year at Cinegear Expo, June 3rd & 4th on the Paramount Studios back lot! Over 100 people participated in our "Do A Shot" with Pro8mm and Kodak. Our first reel of edited film from the participants is below, along with testimonials about the event.
