Lots of Pro8mm footage has been shot for Pamela Anderson's new reality show, Pam: Girl On The Loose which is scheduled to air on E! August 3rd. To date over 200 rolls of Pro8mm film have been shot @18fps and scanned on the M2 to HD CAM 1080i in 16 x 9 with a simul-master center cut in Digi Beta. Pam: Girl On The Loose is a reality TV show in which she lets viewers in on her relationships, business ventures, career and everything else about her crazy life. Check out the promo video here which has some of the Pro8mm footage cut in.

Phil Vigeant will be a speaker at the University Film and Video Association's Conference at Colorado College in Colorado Springs , August 12-15th . The panel is entitled "THE VALUE OF SUPER 8" where he and University of the Pacific film professor Patty McCarthy will discuss the benefits of teaching film classes on Super8. Vigeant presented at the 2006 conference at Chapman University in the area of "NEW MEDIA".

Nick Cassavetes directs Cameron Diaz in the drama My Sister's Keeper, an adaptation of the Jodi Picoult novel concerning a 13-year-old's (Abigail Breslin) lawsuit against her parents alleging that they conceived her in order for her to become a bone marrow donor for her sick older sister (Sofia Vassilieva). Alec Baldwin co-stars as the attorney that takes on the case for the young girl. We can't wait to see where the Pro8mm footage will be used in the 2009 release of MY SISTERS KEEPER. Several scenes of the wedding day of Sarah and Brian Fitzgerald and backyard summer luau party were shot on the Classic Professional and scanned on our new M2 Scanner

BECK'S NEW
CD "MODERN GUILT" uses Max8 1014, Pro8 Stock, and HD Scanner..... |
This new Beck project was shot on THE RED CAMERA and with two Canon Max8 1014 Cameras, primarily on Fuji Color Negative Film. It was transferred in both color and black and white to HD 1080p . The footage was then encoded at Pro8mm to 10 bit uncompressed .MOV files. The promo video released this week uses ALL Pro8mm footage (below) and includes some of Phil's "Scantastic" effects! It will be interesting to see when the final project is released how much is done in "8" and how much is done in "RED"
