Hope For the Children of Haiti

HFC Update

December 1, 2011

Are you trying to find the right gift to show just how special someone is to you?
2011 Christmas CardHonor them through a gift to Hope for the Children of Haiti this year and we will send them a Christmas card to let them know of the generous gift that has been made in their name. Just include their name and address with your gift.

If you would like to give a gift in memory of someone, please let us know of the family's address when making the gift so that we can send a card to their family.

In the spirit of giving at Christmas time, please remember Hope for the Children in your year-end giving.

Here are a couple of ways that you can support HFC!
  • Remember to send in your year-end gift.
  • Check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift or charitable giving program.
  • Sponsor a student for $325/yr - we still have several students who are in need of full sponsorship.
  • Send out HFC Christmas cards to your family and friends (see below)
  • Do your shopping and searching through www.iGive.com or www.goodsearch.com and choose Hope for the Children of Haiti as your charity to support. We have already received our first check of the holiday season, keep up the good work!

Send a HFC Christmas Cards to your Family and Friends!

For every designated gift of $16 to the Christmas 2011 Card Campaign, we would like to thank you with a set of 12 HFC Christmas cards to give to family and friends this holiday season. This is a great way to let others know about Hope for the Children of Haiti's ministry.

Below is this year's design, created by Renick, one of boys who grew up at HFC. Click on the image below to see a larger view of the card as well as inside and back views.

To receive one or more sets of Christmas cards, please give a donation by check or through our online system and include Christmas 2011 Card Campaign in the memo line. (1 set per each gift of $16 will be sent unless otherwise indicated. For example, 2 sets will be sent for a gift of $32) Help us spread the word this holiday season!

Christmas Greetings
We have a team going to Haiti during the Christmas break. If you would like to send a card, photo, or correspondence to any of the HFC children or students, it needs to be sent to the Woburn office by no later than December 12th. We ask that you refrain from sending large gifts as we try to reserve most of the travel space for items of necessity. Thank you.

Prayer Requests

Praise be to God for the love and commitment that He has raised up in so many who have supported HFC!

Thanks for the evidence of Christ in the lives of the HFC children and adults.

That God will provide for the ministry's need for more physical space in Haiti to support our ministry growth.

For wisdom in moving forward with sustainable programs that will not only provide for a need but also provide for Haiti's future.

To allow our ministry to strengthen families in Haiti and to become family to those who have no family.

That the love of Christ would be evident to the students of the Marion Austin Christian School.

Prayer for the current leadership in Haiti.

That God would renew His call on each of us and strengthen us to do His work, wherever He calls.

For all who continue to serve faithfully in Haiti.

That God would protect and strengthen Dr. Bernard and Claudette, our Director, Jean Alexandre and his family and intern Katelyn Miller.
