Hope For the Children of Haiti HFC Update
October 22, 2010
Last Saturday we held our Fall Walk-a-thon and it was so exciting to see 60 people walk the Minuteman Trail, raising funds and awareness for Haiti. With matching gifts we raised over $10,000 that will go toward educating children through the Marion Austin Christian School that is ran by HFC.

Last year, we ended the school year with 147 students. This year, we have waived all tuition costs to help students attend school after the January earthquake where many lost loved ones, homes, and jobs. School began on October 4th and we have over 300 students! In addition to the funds raised by the Walk-a-thon, we have also received 35 full scholarships for students (registration fee and tuition).

Thank you for your partnership with us in ministry!

You can help us reduce our costs by updating your contact information and selecting electronic delivery for HFC mailings and receipts. Go to www.hfchaiti.org/emailme to fill out our online form.

Prayer Requests

·  Praise the Lord for being our Fortress, Stronghold and Deliverer and for His protection of all our children.

·  That from this tragedy God would provide new opportunities to rebuild Haiti for His glory.

·  That Haitians would unite in peace and solidarity of purpose to rebuild Haiti.

·  That gangs would lay down their arms for tools to join the rebuilding.

·   There would be a spiritual awakening in Haiti and among those who are moved to help.

·   That God would protect and strengthen our missionaries and interns on the ground, Mark and Marsha Romens, Jamie Birney, and Cecelia Osowski.

·   That God would quickly unite the adoptive children of HFC and New Life Link (NLL) with their waiting families.

·   That the leadership of HFC would be united as they undergo a discernment process regarding our role in rebuilding Haiti and the future of our non-adoptive children.

·   That the Lord would continue to protect our children and secure the buildings from further damage.

·   That Dr. Bernard and Claudette would be strengthened and renewed that they would not grow weary as they deal with this tragedy on the ground.

·   That God would renew His call on each of us and strengthen us to do His work, wherever He calls.
