Our first MCCPTA Delegates Assembly (DA) of the year will be held this Thursday (moved from the fourth Tuesday due to the holiday) September 27, starting at 7:30 PM in the Carver Auditorium, 850 Hungerford Drive in Rockville (entrance on the far right as you face the front of the Carver Educational Services Center, past marked parking for members of the Board of Education).
NOTE: MCCPTA is working to streamline communications, and will be utilizing Constant Contact--this format--for most of our future email notices, reminders, and updates. Many, if not most, of you received notice of our September Delegates Assembly via the E-list yesterday.Your feedback is welcomed.
Hope to see many of you this Thursday. Please bring your PTA membership cards, either from 2011-2012 (still valid) or the new glossy card. We want to get you in the habit of being a card-carrying PTA member!

Featured Business
Three key pieces of work will be introduced at this meeting: standing rules, the draft MCCPTA Operating Budget priorities resolution and the draft MCCPTA CIP Budget priorities resolution; these will be posted soon at www.mccpta.com under the Issues tab.
We will vote on the standing rules at the meeting to have agreed upon guidelines for our meetings. The two budget resolutions are coming from the MCCPTA Board of Directors (BOD) and will just be raised at this meeting. The expectation is that delegates will bring them back to their PTA/PTSAs for information and discussion at their October meetings, and then come back to the October Delegates Assembly ready to discuss and vote based on the positions of your members. |
