It's a different look!  In our ongoing attempts to improve communications, we are testing out a new method.  Provide feedback to president@mccpta.com!

Proposed MCCPTA Resolutions

Thank you to all who participated in our first Delegates Assembly of the year!  We are starting off at a breakneck speed and we truly appreciate your commitment and engagement on the various issues we are addressing.

Items that Delegates Should Discuss with Their PTAs

A number of resolutions were introduced and will be voted on at the October 25 Delegates Assembly.  If you have any questions regarding any of the proposed resolutions, don't hesitate to contact the appropriate chairperson, contact Kristin Trible, or post to our delegates Elist at mccpta_delegates@yahoogroups.com.  Click on the following to see the resolution.
Note that the Operating Budget Compact and the Operating Budget Priorities were combined into one document due to temporary limitations on document links.

Other Action Items and News...

MCCPTA Nominating Committee
A call for nominees to serve on our MCCPTA Nominating Committee has gone out.  We need representation from each area.  If you are interested in serving on this crucial committee, please contact your Area Vice President and/or our MCCPTA Vice President for Adminstration, Paul Morrison, at vpadmin@mccpta.com.

MCCPTA Standing Rules
Standing Rules were adopted at the September Delegates Assembly.  Please familiarize yourself and, hopefully, they will answer any questions you may have had.
MCCPTA 2011-2012 Standing Rules

Some key items to remember:
  • We are using the honor system until the November Delegates Assembly.  No delegate cards will be required until then.
  • Ensure your PTA president has submitted the names of the PTA's delegates to office@mccpta.com.
  • Ensure your PTA sends in their first installment of $1/member dues to Montgomery County Council of PTAs (MCCPTA) no later than November 1.
  • Delegate cards will be distributed at the Delegates Assemblies (starting in November) instead of being "ponied" to your school.
  • Place your PTA Membership Card in your wallet now!  You will need it to show that you are a PTA member.
MCCPTA Dues
Dues of $1 per PTA member should be remitted to MCCPTA now using the  MCCPTA Dues Voucher.

Please continue to send in your dues on a monthly basis.  Congratulations to Luxmanor Elementary School PTA for being the first to submit their membership dues to MCCPTA!

Montgomery County Council of PTAs thanks you for all that you do!
