Kindergarten Evaluation Sessions
The 2012-2013 Kindergarten evaluation sessions will be held on Saturday, February 25, and on Saturday, March 10, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
*If you have a prospective 2012-2013-kindergarten student, please drop by the office to pick up an admission packet. Applicant families must submit an application and fee before a child can participate in the assessment.
*If you know of families interested in having children evaluated for our St. Patrick's Kindergarten, please have them contact the office as soon as possible.

Greetings!
We are pleased to provide you with information about our school through this electronic version of the WOW.

Emergency Lunches - Bags should have been returned to your child's teacher before today, Wednesday, January 11, 2012. If you have not done so, Please return them ASAP. Thank you!
Uniform Guidelines - Parents, because of the uneven terrain and for safety reasons we ask that your child wear shoes suitable for running, climbing and physical education activities. For girls this means, NO Tom's, Ugg's, ballerina flats or snow boots. * California Car Seat Law - Parents must follow this mandate at all times.
- Effective January 1st, 2012 children under the age of eight (8) or under four (4) feet, nine (9) inches tall must be properly secured in the rear seat of a vehicle with child passenger restraint system.
- Children under the age of one (1) weighing less than twenty (20) pounds may not ride in the front seat of a vehicle with an active passenger side airbag in a rear facing infant seat.
Manna Food Collection - Each Thursday morning outside of chapel, donations of non perishable food, household as well as personal hygiene items are collected by our first grade. It is an opportunity for everyone to participate and support our local food bank. First graders sort and count all items that are donated. We will provide regular updates of class donations and items needed.
Mad Attic donations - Please support the 6th grade outreach program by donating any unwanted gently used clothing, toys, books and small household items you may have. Please bring them to morning drop off on Wednesday, January 25.
Christmas Concert Pictures - If anyone has pictures from our recent Christmas Concert, we would appreciate a copy of them. Please contact Kelly Honig in the school office.
Holiday - Martin Luther King Day - Monday, January 16, There will be No School in observance of this day.
Admissions Open House - Please tell all interested friends and family we will be having an Admissions Open House for all prospective families on Sunday 1/29 at 2:30 pm.
Paper WOW - The electronic WOW is now the school's primary means of communication. However, you will continue to receive the WOW Envelope on Wednesdays containing important information, school work and flyers.

- Please look for the 2012 Gala flyer in this week's WOW envelope.
- We would appreciate any empty baskets and/or containers you may have for the Gala. If you have baskets you can donate, please bring them to the office. Thank you!
- We are still looking for pictures of the St. Patrick's Christmas concert. If you took pictures, we would love to have copies, either by email or on a CD or flash drive. Thanks!

Kids in Motion Creative Outlet with Coach Laila - Fridays,1/6 - 3/2/12 There is still room to sign up for this new and exciting afternoon program on Fridays - Crafts, Face Painting, Games and More It is a fun way to start the weekend! Please note the class will not meet on 2/3/12 only.

St. Patrick's Parents...please join us this Friday morning for a special Parent Association meeting with Deacon Sarah! After a short PA meeting, Sarah Kitch will speak to us on the "Mirth of Joy" - exploring how we can enter into the new year utilizing the gifts of laughter and humor. Hope to see you there! Coffee and refreshments will be provided. 8:30 - 10:00 in the parish hall.
Save the Date - St. Patrick's Family Fun Night is back! Friday, January 27th 6:00 - 8:00pm This year's theme is "Hip Hop, Sock Hop" Come to the Parish Hall dressed in Hip Hop style...check your shoes at the door and dance in your funky socks! A fun night for all with dancing, music, face painting and balloon animals for St.Patrick's students and their families!! Used Uniform Sales - The next sale will be in February! If you need uniforms sooner, please fill out the form in the office and we'll get you what you need!
Whole Foods, Gelson's and Vons Gift Cards - If you are going to shop at WHOLE FOODS and GELSON'S, please purchase scrip gift cards, in $50 and $100 increments. Vons scrip is also currently available!!! You will not only enjoy some wonderful food, but will be supporting the PA board. Please stop by the school office to purchase the scrip. |
