The Bean Creek Preserve - owned by Sierra Foothill Conservancy (SFC) and part of the John Muir Highway project- is currently being studied for a habitat restoration project to enhance its health as an ecosystem treasure for the area. Recently, Bridget Fithian and Logan Page from SFC, came to the Preserve to discuss its history and possible restoration strategies with local residents and experienced grazing management neighbors John Shimer and Merlin Jones. Cattle rancher Kris Souza's family - including Betsy, Shelby & Bodie, heard about planning as well.
