November 18-20: Meeting of the American Academy of Religion and the Society of Biblical Literature. She will lead the discussion among Biblical Studies professors at the "Seminaries and Science: From Principles to Practice" workshops of DoSER of AAAS funded by the Templeton Foundation.

November 18: AGTS dialogue with Wycliffe/SIL Bible translators for specific Muslim peoples, Springfield, MO.

November 20: Mission's convention speaker, Grace AG, Baltimore, MD.

RaineyTouching Other Worlds: A Collection of Poems

by Chris Rainey ('92)

Chris has published his first book, a collection of poems inspired by his visits to a nature center near his home in New Jersey and a special assignment for UPS working for two months delivering packages on the Upper East Side of New York City.

Chris is currently an IT worker, AG assistant pastor, and free-lance writer. The book is currently only available online through Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

JeterDon and Cyndie Jeter ('84) are AG missionaries serving in Spain where they have been teaching and training pastors and workers in the Bible seminaries. They have also taught Spanish workers in churches in Italy.

 

 

Army chaplain CH (LTC) Kwon Pyo ('88) moved to Picatinny Arsenal, NJ in July. He is the new installation chaplain for Picatinny, a small post specializing in weapons procurements and development and research.  The small chapel he inherited has grown from about 17 to over 60, with the creation of two age levels of children's church, a nursery, a youth group, and a women's ministry, in addition to an already present lunch Bible study for civilian workers. 

 

EricksonDaryel Erickson ('93) is an AG missionary serving with Global Teen Challenge. He recently taught a course on Biblical Interpretation at the Emerging Leaders College (Teen Challenge) in Jesup, GA. 

  

HankersonElijah Hankerson ('96) spoke at the 104th Church of God in Christ Holy Convocation held in St. Louis, MO. Elijah has been in the ministry for 23 years and is the senior pastor and founder of the Life Center International C.O.G.I.C. of Saint Louis, MO, which has 480 members.

 

 

Greg Aikens ('10) is completing an M.Ed. in Visual Disabilities at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He will begin student teaching in January and graduate in May 2012.

  

Kevin Davis ('10) is moving to Star Valley, Wyoming (two hours south of Yellowstone) to pastor an AG church. Star Valley is an area with a population of 7,000-10,000 that is predominantly Mormon.
