Pillars of the Faith Honorees
John and Lois Bueno
On Friday, September 9th, John and Lois Bueno were honored for their many years of ministry when a special ceremony unveiling their plaque on the AGTS Pillar of Faith was held at AGTS. They served for 28 years in El Salvador and founded Latin America ChildCare. John was elected executive director of AG World Missions at the 47th General Council in 1997. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and Executive Presbytery. Bueno serves a family of more than 2,700 missionaries and missionary associates in 213 countries and territories with a worldwide constituency of more than 63 million. Greg Mundis ('97), newly elected executive director of AGWM, participated.
Buntain, Kraiss and Trasher recognized as Pillars of Faith
The AGTS Pillars of the Faith program honors men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving Jesus Christ and have followed the call of God in ministry, missions and the training of ministers. We acknowledge their generous contribution to AGTS and its mission to shape servant leaders.
In considering the criteria for the Pillars of the Faith initiative, one would be challenged to find three more deserving candidates than Dr. Fulton Buntain, Dr. Wayne Kraiss, and Rev. Lillian Trasher. They have each carved out enduring legacies through their selfless dedication to pursue God's call in their lives.
