  • The fund for Theological Education (FTE)Scholarship Recipient has a "Ministry Fellows" program which provides 20 awards of $10,000 each to full-time M.Div students who have completed one semester of seminary.
  • Good candidates have imagination, vision, capacity for critical thinking, good communications skills, and a minimum seminary GPA of 3.3
  • Must be U.S. or Canadian citizen; age 35 or younger.

  • Dr. Badger teaches science at Evangel University. 
Improve Your Writing!
  • Graduate work can be frustrating if yourWriting hand academic writing competency is not where it should be. We recommend the following options depending on the level of help you need:
  1. Have a fellow student edit your written assignments and coach you on how to improve.
  2. Enroll in THE 531 Theological Writing.  Receive a total of 12 hours of classroom instruction and up to 20 hours of one-to-one coaching. This one-hour, non-credit course, is offered in the spring semester at half the regular tuition rate.


Counseling Practicum
  • If you will begin your first counseling practicum in Summer 2011, please make an appointment to meet with Dr. Angela Reid in January or February.
Winter Weather
  • In the rare event that classes are cancelled due to severe winter weather, the major television and radio stations Ice Covered Carin Springfield will be notified that the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary has cancelled classes.  Before calling the seminary, listen for such announcments.
  • In the event of inclement weather, students may call the weather hotline to find out if classes have been cancelled or delayed:  417-269-1051

Deferred Payment Dates

  • Deferred payments for the spring semester are due on or before January 3, Paid StampFebruary 15, and March 15.
  • Payments must be received in the Business Office on or before these dates in order to avoid the $25 per month late fee.

Scholarship Applications for Fall 2011

  • Scholarship applications for the fall semester are available in the Dollar SignBusiness Office in January.
  • The forms must be completed and submitted by 4:30 p.m. on January 31.
  • Awards will be determined by the Scholarship Committee and scholarship notifications made by March 1.

Spring 2011 Scholarships

  • Scholarships for the spring term will post to student accounts by the first of February.
  • If you are a recipient, please review your February account statement carefully to make sure that the award and the accurate amount have been posted.
  • Please report any discrepancies to the Business Office as soon as possible.

Financial Aid News


2010-2011 Student Loans 

  • To apply for 2010-11 student loans:
    • Have the following items available:
      • Your Department of Education PIN number
      • Your Social Security Number
      • Your Driver's License
      • A copy of your 2009 income taxes
      • Click on "Fill out a FAFSA" 

        After completing the FAFSA, submit your request with your PIN number.  (The PIN serves as an electronic signature and your FAFSA will be sent to the Financial Aid Office).
Deadline for Late Spring Loans
  • February 15, 2011 is the dealine to secure a Direct Loan for the Spring 2010 term.
