Dr. Siang-Yang Tan will join us for three chapel services and speak on Counseling and Psychotherapy: A Christian Perspective.
Dr. Tan is professor of Psychology in the graduate school of psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA and senior pastor of the Evangelical Church in Glendale, CA. |

Dr. Roger Cotton ('78) was appointed to the Mayor's Commission on Human Rights and Community Relations for the next two years.
Dr. Mark Hausfeld ('83) will speak at the Boys and Girls Missionary Conference (BGMC) in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in December.
Dr. Lois Olena ('06) spoke at the Valley Forge Christian College Homecoming chapel and received the Outstanding Young Alumna Award. Click here to view sermon.

The Lausanne Movement, founded by Billy Grahm to movilize evangelical leaders for world evangelization, hosted the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in Capetown, South Africa in October. The Congress brought together 4,000 leaders from more than 200 countries to confront critical issues effecting the church and world evangelization-other world faiths, poverty, HIV/AIDS, persecution, among others.

Richard Pruitt('05) wrote an article entitled "The Meaning of the Cross in Mark" for the October 2010 issue of Evangelical Review of Theology.
Jennifer Gale ('99) wrote "A Thanksgiving Reflection for You, Your Class, or Your Church." She is the associate pastor of Evangel Temple Christian Center in Springfield, MO.
Passport to the World: Your A to Z Guided Language Tourby Craig Froman ('95).
Children will gain knowledge of intriguing facts about countries, including their capital cities, maps, flags, populations, and religions. Gathering stickers for their passport, readers learn greetings from 26 different languages, as well as interesting language tips as well. This is an attention-grabbing exploration of the world through the eyes of children.
Craig is a curriculum writer and an editor at New Leaf Publishing Group.

Alumni News
Dr. David Balasingh ('85) recently visited Springfield from Bangalore, India and stopped at the seminary to visit the President and the Alumni Office.
David taught at Southern Asia Bible College in Bangalore, India for 17 years. He continues to do missions work throughout India and Sri Lanka.
Mike Clarensau ('86) was named senior director of AG Church Transformation Network. He will assume his new responsibilities December 13. More information about CTN at http://CTN.ag.org.
Major Ronald P. Johnson ('88) passed away October 2, 2010. He lived his life in service to His Lord, and remained faithful and thankful throughout his 16-month treatment of cancer. A graduate of the University of Texas and the Naval Postgraduate school, he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 21 years, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. After retirement he had many opportunities to use his gifts and intellect, serving as a university professor, an administrator, and a computer analyst and RAFB.
Scott and Trudy Jackson ('94) welcomed Shirleyna Jackson in September. The Jacksons are missionaries to the islands of Micronesia.
Lucas and Tirtsah Hunt ('04) welcomed Elazar (Hebrew for Lazarus, "Elohim is our help") in October.
T.J. Stanfield ('02/'07) is the clinical director at Aurora Plains Academy, a residential treatment facility for youth in crisis in Plankinton, SD. He and Jon Busch ('10) visited campus as part of a recruiting trip.
Kristina and Erik Undheim ('05) work with Youth With A Mission in Austria. They are mission coordinators - coordinating teams coming to Vienna. They are also trying to re-pioneer YWAM Austria and plan to start the first Discipleship Training School in January 2012.
Cindy Kam('08) will marry David Chen on December 23rd at Full Gospel Church in Las Vegas.
Terence Harris ('09) recently spent a week in Swaziland Africa and spoke at Teen Challenge. He is engaged and getting married at the end of December.
Frank Silverii ('09) is the new lead pastor at Albany AG, Albany, OR.
