JUCO World Series
The Bobcat Baseball team has been making history and breaking records for the last two years. Last year they never played a home game and yet made a run for the state title. This season's State and Region 23 titles along with JCJC's first appearance in the Junior College World Series has shocked the nation and Bobcat fans.
Tonight, (Friday) the team is getting readay for the Junior College World Series Opening Ceremonies.   Arriving in Enid, OK late Wednesday, they have been busy participating in a couple of pre-game events and practicing. Thursday was their first day of practice before the first game on Saturday against the #4 Des Moines (Iowa) Area Community College Bears.

The #6 ranked Bobcat team is being called the "Cinderella" team to watch in the Series.  The local newspaper, The Enid News mentions the incredible job the team did to upset the defending national champions, LSU-Eunice.  Click The Enid News Story to read the report.
JCJC alum and Sports information Director, Shawn Wansley has been writing about the team all season. All of his stories can be found on the JCJC webpage, www.jcjc.edu. To read about the Historic Win at Regionals click on the link.

JCJC Coach Christian Ostrander (far left) won't have to watch any more LSU-Eunice players at bat in the World Series.   Pictured on the right behind the batter are Elizabeth Sanders, JCJC.TV's Jared Meyers, Lance Pittman and Shawn Wansley.

If you want real-time action, Shawn and the Voice of the Bobcats, Lance Pittman are in Enid, OK to audiocast the game and document the Bobcats run for the title. Shawn's story World Series Matchup previews the first game.  To hear the action click on JCJC.TV.

Also covering the game is JCJC.TV director and videographer, Jared Meyers.  He will be producing a half-hour feature of the teams journey.  For updates click on David Allen Ballpark for bracket info and tournament updates.

We'll have more details on the baseball team's season in the June edition of the Bobcat Bulletin.

 Congratulations!
