Alumna Performance
Nikki Melvin Johnson   JCJC MusicalTheater Director and Jones 1996-98 alumna, Nikki Melvin-Johnson will be performing the role of Musetta in Puccini's romantic opera, "La Boheme" at USM's Performing Arts Center. 
   You can catch her    performance on Thursday, November 11 at 7:30 p.m.  We'll have more in a feature next month, however Johnson said she is thrilled to have the opportunity to perform her dream role.
Homecoming 2010

             Homecoming 2010 was a huge success! Thank you to the classes of JCJC and EHS classes of 1960, JCAHS class of 1955 and JCAHS class of 1950 for making this a special occassion. 

   If you were unable to join us on campus we will be posting pictures on the web page documenting the day.

   Congratulations! to the three Honor Alumni recognized during the Homecoming Luncheon, Dr. Terrell Tisdale, Dr. Ronald Whitehead, and Tim Waldrup.  Read the story here.

Waldrup's Endow Leadership Scholarship

tim and pat waldrup  Mrs. Pat Waldrup recently endowed a scholarship in her husband's honor, Tim Waldrup ('61).  The current Ellisville mayor and JCJC alumnus

was instrumental in establishing the Student Government Association program on campus during his 32 years working in Student Affairs at JCJC.  This scholarship will be awarded to a JCJC sophomore exhibiting leadership qualities.  To read the entire story Click Here.

New Alumni and Foundation Officers

kathy harrison   Some of the Homecoming festivities were led by new officers for both the Alumni Association and the Foundation.  Heading up the Alumni Association is (pictured on left) Kathy Harrison ('70). 
  The Alumni Association Officers are Vice President, Charlie Garretson ('81) and Secretary-Treasurer, Frances Thomas ('41).  Robin Robinson
   The Foundation Board is being led by Robin Robinson ('76).  Foundation Board Officers are Vice President Sidney "Buck" Anderson ('55) and Secretary-Treasurer, Thomas M. Thames, III.
     Harrison and Robinson have plenty of experience leading in their workplaces and are ready to take on their new presidential duties at Jones.  They are joined by fellow officers with a wealth of knowledge and a willingness to serve the college.

Congratulations and Thank You for sharing your talents with Jones! 
Basketball Reunions
   If you were a member of any of the 1960's JCJC

Favorite Memories

                                    jcjc cardinal seal As we prepare for our big 100-year celebration in 2011, we would love to include your "Favorite Memories".   Please send us your favorite JCJC or JCAHS memory or event and we will share them in our upcoming editions.  Include pictures, contact information, and date of attendance, with your special memories.  Please be brief so we can include everyone's favorite Jones moment! You can mail the information to Amie Herrington at the Alumni-Foundation Office or email, jcjcalumniinfo@jcjc.edu.

The college will be closed the week of Thanksgiving, November 22-26.  We hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed time during this time of Thanksgiving!

 Remember When... 
                              in 1960 when a "Golden Anniversary Homecoming" was held in honor of the 50th year the school opened its doors?  A "Block Seating Plan" for alumni was arranged in the football stands allowing former students to sit together in sections.
