Dear PPP member,
We are excited about the new social norms marketing campaign that was designed in collaboration with high school students at Taconic and Pittsfield High School.  Read more about the first campaign messages below.  Including young people in the work of the PPP is so important, and so energizing!  They bring a unique and obviously valuable perspective to all our strategies.  Thanks to the Students Against Destructive Decisions Chapters and to the Red Cross Youth Leadership Program!
2011-2012 Social Norms Marketing Campaigns
Full Page Planner AdThe PPP worked with the Students Against Destructive Decisions Chapters at Taconic and Pittsfield High Schools (PHS) to survey students about their attitudes regarding alcohol and design a new marketing campaign that will highlight the positive norms at both schools.  The first set of messages will be printed in the PHS planners for the coming year.  Taconic messages will be focus group tested this summer.
Read more about the marketing campaign and see the other planner ads here.
PPP Partnership with the Red Cross Youth Leadership Program
PPP and the Red Cross Youth Leadership Program teamed up for three events; Sticker Shock, a Shoulder Taps Survery, and a Safe Prom Presentation. During Sticker Shock, the teens visited participating liquor stores and placed stickers on multi-packs of beer and winecoolers.  The stickers were designed by a student and read, "Don't spend a wage on those underage!", reminding customers of the 21 year old drinking age. Teens from the Red Cross group also conducted a Shoulder Taps survey and performed at the Safe Prom Presentation at the Berkshire Museum Theater.
