Dear PPP member,

We have a number of upcoming events on the horizon, as always.  We are specifically looking for members to step up and become active in some of our work groups.  If you are interested in helping us out in any of the following areas, please contact Karen Cole at 442-6948:  Parenting Skills, SAY It Proud, Youth Strategies, Sustainability and Marketing.  Thank you everyone for your support at the PPP Celebration, and we wish you safe and happy holidays!

PPP Celebration Honoring Vin Marinaro and Cynthia Quinones
Shirley Edgerton
Shirley Edgerton gave an inspiring talk about the importance of volunteering.  Many young people were in attendance to hear her message.  We were delighted to honor long-time member of the PPP, Vin Marinaro and SAY It Proud Chair, Cynthia Quinones. See photos of the event on our Facebook page, and read iberkshires coverage.
PPP SAY IT Proud Awards, Dec. 29 at the Beacon
Gullivers Travels First screening of the day of Gulliver's Travels will feature the SAY It Proud Award winners!

Five Pittsfield teens will be receiving the SAY It Proud Awards at the Beacon Cinema, just prior to the first showing of the day of Gulliver's Travels.  Please support our young winners and enjoy the film! Please check back on our Facebook page to confirm the time of the first screening.

Social Norms Marketing in the Schools
SADD logo The Students Against Destructive Decisions Chapters are busy gathering survey responses which will be used to develop a positive social norms media campaign in the schools.  Research has shown that if positive norms are highlighted (such as "most students don't approve of pressuring another student to drink"), then the misperception that everyone is drinking all the time decreases, and overall use rates decrease.  Thank you students for helping with this effort!

Thank you for your support!BUW logo
