Our reunion group, The Travelers of St John's Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge, Ohio, has realized just what can happen if you surrender to God's plan. In the past year we have started a music ministry. The six of us and other musicians from St. John's and St. Paul's in Maumee have lead the music at Zion Lutheran in Gibsonburg, Ohio three times in the past year. The first time we provided the music for their congregational meeting and were rewarded with a much bigger blessing from the congregation at Zion than the one we gave them.
On our second trip to Zion, we sang outside in the parking lot for the fourth of July and two of our members offered their personal testimonies. Again, the blessing we received far exceeded that which we gave.
In February, while their Pastor was recovering from health issues, we provided the music, lead the congregation in prayer and gave the message. What a blessing it is to know that the songs we sang praised God, the prayers we gave reached His ears and the message we gave came from the Holy Spirit and renewed those who heard it. We, The Travelers, are now an outreach ministry of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge, Ohio, and are looking forward to see how we can help our new Vicar, Mark Wentz, reach out into our community with the message of God's Grace and love.
Clyde Bame; Parish Rep. at St John's in Stony Ridge, Ohio.

Today I come to you with some great news. I went to see my oncologist and he gave me some great news. The CT scans that were done a couple of weeks ago showed that the two primary sites where the cancer growths were have shrunk since the initial scans. That means that the cancer is responding to the treatments. This is the best news that he could have given me. On top of that, the tests that were run to check the infections that were in my body before, all came back negative which means that the antibiotics have done the job on those infections. I still have some issues to deal with and I will begin Chemotherapy in some form again but I can accept that. I wanted to share the good news with all of you and thank you so very much for the prayers and support that you all give me every day. God has truly blessed me by putting great brothers in my life. I thank God every day that I have each one of you in my life. Looking forward to seeing you all soon! Keith |
