This is kind of a blah month with uncertain weather and the impatient wait for the first spring day. For no real reason at all here are a few random historical happenings from the month of March.
March 3, 1931 - The Star Spangled Banner was adopted as the National Anthem of the United States.
March 12, 1912 - The Girl Scouts of America were founded.
March 22, 1882 - Congress outlawed polygamy.
March 24, 1974 - North Carolina State beat UCLA 80-77 in the Final Four, ending UCLA's string of 7 consecutive NCAA Basketball national championships.
March 25, 1954 - RCA first produced color televisions.
March 31, 1880 - Wabash, Indiana was the first town to be illuminated by electric lights.
