If you're an investor that wants to turn around an underperforming portfolio company, then TAI is for you.

Management listens to The Activist Investor.

We've all heard how many CEOs view their investors, that they don't invest for the long term, don't know anything about the business, and the like.

And, more than a few CEOs have an outsized view of themselves and their talents. One doesn't become the top guy or gal at a US public company without at least a little ego.

But, few CEOs go as far as verbalizing these thoughts, and doing so on the record. One did so recently, and it's interesting and amusing (not flattering, though) to see how it looks.

Read all about it, including the email correspondence with the CEO, and contribute your own account for the Annals of Investor Relations, at the TAI Blog.

You can find other useful resources at the TAI website, including our research on "Effective Activism, on the Cheap", the new guide to proxy access, bibliography of academic research on the returns to activist investing, and our white paper with the basics on activism.
