Chang2012Many thanks to Bishop Chang for being with us this past Sunday, and for sharing his personal views on stewardship.  His talk was both inspiring and informative, and is a wonderful example of  God's blessings being shared joyously!  Bishop Chang will be back this Sunday, September 2, for both services.  His family will be joining him, so be sure to stay and fellowship with the Chang's this Sunday!
Upcoming Clergy

All Saints' is in good hands with the many wonderful clergy filling in while we go through a transitional period without a permanent rector.

Clergy for upcoming Sundays are as follows:

September 9 &16 - Rev. Gaylord Hitchcock
September 23 & 30 - Rev. Bob Walden
October 7 & 14 - Rev. Dan Leatherman

We give thanks and praise for these clergy who fly over to spend their Sundays with our All Saints' ohana, and look forward to welcoming them!

It's that time of year when members regroup after the summer break, and prepare for "Kick-Off" Sunday, following the Labor Day weekend.

CHOIR UPDATE - Pratices have begun!

choir redThe choir met last night and is gearing up for its return on September 9.  Regular practice sessions will be held on Thursday evenings, beginning on September 13.  Although normal practice times will run from 6:00 - 7:00pm, our first practice session on this date will be a little earlier, at 5:30 pm, to allow for the important church meeting with Canon Liz at 6:30 pm. (See article below.)  Anyone interested in joining the choir is welcome to come... it's never too late to join in!   For more information or if you have any questions, E-mail Faith Shiramizu, or call her at 651-7980.

SS BoysAll children in Pre-K to 5th grade will find their new Sunday school classrooms in Memorial Hall.  As in the past, children will gather in church, and process off to their classrooms together just before the service starts.  During the coffee hour on September 9th, parents are encouraged to visit the classrooms.  If anyone is interested in helping with the Sunday school, please e-mail Sybil Nishioka, or call her at 828-1593.

Looking for a couple of handy guys to help Steve Bauman with the doors in Memorial Hall this coming week.  Steve has been setting up the structure and rails, and we just need some strong arms to help with the final installation that should be quick.  See Steve to arrange a time or leave a message for him through the church office at 822-4267.

Get your questions about Aided Parishes answered

LizOn Thursday, September 13, Canon Liz Beasley from the Bishop's Office will be coming to All Saints'.  She will be available to answer your questions regarding what an Aided Parish entails, and what the choices we make will mean for the future of All Saints'.  This is a very important meeting as we continue to discern the direction of the church, and all are invited to attend this meeting that will begin at 6:30 pm.

New web sampleA new All Saints' website has been in the works for several months and will be ready to launch soon.  As part of the diocesan vision, all Episcopal churches in Hawai'i will be able to have a free website linked through the main diocesan website, which was launched earlier this year.   The new website will be multi-functional that will also include a church directory, abilities to register for events, make donations, and most importantly, have up-to-date information on all the goings on at All Saints'.  Duty Rosters, calendar of events, E-News issues, the Kauaian, and activities throughout the diocese will be accessible through the website.  Stay tuned!

PHOTOS WANTED:  Although we have a library of photos for posting on the website, if you have any special pictures that you would like to share, please e-mail them to: halelani@hawaiiantel.net
