Happy Mother's Day!
Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.  Proverbs 31:2
Special blessings to our moms this Sunday, May 13, as we honor all the special women in our lives!  Some may be grandmas and aunties, or a friend with a family of pets... but one thing is for certain, we all have/had a mother!  Be sure to stick around after the 9:30 service coffee hour, where a special Lady Baltimore cake is being baked up along with champagne sorbet!  And did someone say Mimosas?  Be there this Sunday!
Mahalo Supply Clergy!
John Connell
Fr. John Connell

Thank you to Fr. John Connell for a delightful visit and sermon last Sunday.  Fr. Connell has been with All Saints' numerous times over the years, always giving us a dose of his warmth and kindness!

This Sunday, May 13, Fr. Bob Walden returns, sharing Mother's Day with us!  Coming up is Rev. Linda Decker on May 20, and Bishop Chang, returning again on May 27.

Thank you to all the clergy for making the early morning journey to Kaua'i and spending their Sundays with us!  We appreciate all of the wisdom and deep faith that they share, and look forward to the prospect of a different and interesting priest each week!

All Saints' Saturday Market Kick-off Meeting
There will be a meeting on Wednesday, May 16, to discuss the possibility of a Saturday Market on church grounds.  Funds raised by the vendor rental fees will go towards offsetting the budget deficit.  Not only is this a possible fundraiser, but it is also a great outlet for local vendors to sell their goods and for our community to purchase some great items.  If you are interested in learning more about this activity or to help in the planning and execution of this event, please plan to attend the meeting.  It will be held in the Rectory  at 6:30 pm.  For more information, see David Murray, or e-mail him.
Sunday, May 27
The results are in, survey statistics compiled, and our follow-up meeting scheduled!  Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete the church survey, which is the first step towards the search for a new rector.  The results will be presented and discussed at a follow-up Church Hall Meeting on Sunday, May 27, between the two services starting at 8:00 am.  ONCE AGAIN, BREAKFAST WILL BE SERVED, SO MARK YOUR CALENDARS and make plans to attend the Church Hall Meeting!!

Kaiea BurnzCongratulations to Kaiea Burnz!

In last week's e-news, three of our Kapa'a High School graduates were featured.  This week's featured graduate is Kaiea Burnz, son of David and Shirlette Burnz, who will be graduating from Kamehameha School, on May 27, 2012, at the Neal Blaisdell Center Arena on O'ahu.  Congratulations and God bless you Kaiea!

Seeking flower donations for Memorial Day Weekend
The Sunday school children and teachers will be cleaning and decorating the graveyard and Columbarium on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, May 27.  Although the holiday is a time to honor those that have defended our country, it has also been a fitting time to remember all of our loved ones that have gone on to join our Heavenly Father.  If you would like to donate flower cuttings and greenery, please leave them by the sink between the graveyard and Columbarium on Sunday morning, May 27.
Church Work Day!  Mark Your Calendars!
Saturday, June 16
Be sure to mark your calendars for a BIG work day at the church on Saturday, June 16, from 8:00 am - Noon.  Some of the projects being undertaken are cleaning of the maruis, washing the Church and Hale Lani store windows, cleaning out the gym kitchen and under the gym stage.  Lots of hands make light work, and there's a lot to do!
Sixth Sunday of Easter
O God, who hast prepared for those who love thee such good things as pass man's understanding: Pour into our hearts such love toward thee, that we, loving thee in all things and above all things, may obtain thy promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

God camp 2011

The Diocesan summer program, God Camp, is set for July 8 - 12, 2012, at Camp Mokule'ia on O'ahu.  It's an opoprtunity for children in grades 4 - 8 to discover and learn about God in unexpected ways, while spending time with old and new friends.  Youth in grades 9 - 12 can take part in the Leaders in Training (LIT) program, thatn begins on July 5 through the end of camp.  These older youth learn what it takes to be on staff while mentoring God Camp participants.  For more information and to download the applications for both programs, visit the Diocesan website HERE.
