Greetings!

SPREAD THE WORD!
Free health care is heading to Kaua'i for two weeks beginning on February 28!  If you haven't read about church member Dileep Bal and his work in helping to bring the military reservists to Kaua'i, then click on the December 2011 Kauaian link in the column on the right and read all about it!  All Saints' will be one of three sites where the military will be setting up sites offering physical examinations, dental care, vision checks, glasses, and more...and did we mention it's FREE?!  More information will be forthcoming, but spread the word and mark your calendars... don't let this wonderful opportunity slip by!
Come be a part of the Peace Garden

Jeff and Lacee Santos' vision for a Peace Garden is one step closer to fruition.  A schedule has been set with groundbreaking taking place on Saturday, January 28, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., and will include prep work and construction of benches, setting up the arch, lights, and making raised beds. Then on Sunday, January 29, the youth will begin planting while adult members attend the Annual Meeting, and anyone else can join in afterwards.  More workdays are planned for Saturday, February 4, with additional prep days inbetween as needed. Donations of plants are welcome and all are invited to take part in this wonderful project that will hopefully bring joy and peace to all in the community.  If you have any questions or would like more information, email Jeff and Lacee

Annual Meeting Coming Up
All Saints' Church's Annual Meeting is coming up on Sunday, January 29, after the 9:30 a.m. service.  There will be two regular services at 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.  Mark your calendars and plan to attend this important meeting.

Seeking Vestry Nominations

If you are interested in becoming a part of the leadership of the church, please consider putting in your nomination for the Vestry.  If you know someone that you think would be a good candidate, consider talking to them to see if they wouldn't mind being nominated.

Being a part of the Vestry is a great opportunity to get involved and take an active role in the care of our church, its mission and its programs.  This year will be especially important as members discern the future of All Saints' and begin the search process for a new rector.  There will be a three-year position and a two-year position open.

To learn more, visit the Episcopal Church Foundation website's ECF Vital Practices.  This section contains a wealth of information regarding leadership and vestry practices, including a Vestry 101 link!

Vestry selection will take place during the Annual Meeting on January 29.  If you have any questions, please see Fr. Ben, or e-mail the office by January 22.
