2012 AS header title
January 6, 2012

Out with the old and in with the new!  And so it is that we are featuring a new look to the weekly E-News!  Information will be more organized, with meetings and activities listed for quick at-a-glance reference in the right hand column, and more detailed information in the body of the news.  The colors will continue to reflect the current season -- white and gold for Epiphany appears here.

The Diocese is in the final stages of creating its new website, and as soon as that is up and running, All Saints' will also be setting up its new website that will be hooked directly into it.  The new website will have a ton of information for you that will be maintained regularly with the latest news and happenings not just at All Saints', but in the Diocese and wider Episcopal Church.  There will also be a library of Kauaian issues that will be easy to view as a webpage, which means no downloading heavy pdf files!

So as we forge ahead into 2012, here's wishing you a most blessed year in His grace, and a Spirit-filled year of activity at All Saints'!

Application/Nomination forms available for Episcopal Youth Presence at General Convention 2012
Are you an Episcopal youth, or know one who would like to learn about the governance of the church while providing a needed service? Then consider the Episcopal Youth Presence at General Convention 2012.

Eighteen positions, representing two from each Province of the Episcopal Church, are opened to youth to participate in the 77th General Convention, scheduled for July 2012 in Indianapolis, Indiana, July 5 to July 12.

Bronwyn Clark Skov, Episcopal Church Officer for Youth Ministries, addressed both the importance and the honor of these positions. "The General Convention Official Youth Presence was established by an initial resolution in 1982," she explained. "The Official Youth Presence members have seat and voice on the floor of the House of Deputies during the legislative sessions and that is an exciting prospect for the youth of our church."

Godly Play Core Training on O'ahu
There will be a 3-day Godly Play Core Training for church school teachers in our congregations, taking place in Honolulu on the following dates and times:
Friday, March 2, 2012:  4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Sunday, March 4, 2012:  9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The Godly Play Foundation Trainer will be Sally Mancini, with host Jenny Wallace, and will take place at The Church of the Epiphany, 1041 Tenth Avenue, in Honolulu.  Scholarships are available. The Epiphany
O God, who by the leading of a star didst manifest thy only-begotten Son to the peoples of the earth: Lead us, who know thee now by faith, to thy presence, where we may behold thy glory face to face; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy spirit, one God, now and for ever.  Amen.
