Gardening

By the time you receive this - everything including okra can be planted. If you put in asparagus last year, you can be cutting and enjoying it this year. Spears get bigger each year until full size in 3-5 years. My spears this year (3 years old) are the size of my ring finger. Older plants (5 years old) are the size of a thumb. Enjoy fresh produce daily. If you are unable to grow it, remember that the Grand Prairie Farmer's Market is open now, on Saturday 8am - 1 pm. Address is 120 W. Main St. go to www.gptx.org to see schedule of upcoming events to be held at Farmer's Market.
