Compounding FYI
I recently read an interesting study using a melatonin gel that may cut radiation burns caused from treatment of breast cancer. As a caompounding pharmacy, we may be able to work with your doctor to make this gel should you - the patient - have this health concern. If you wish to learn more about this study, the link to the study is here. I found it at BreastCancer.org. |
Helps in losing belly fat, according to First For Women magazine - Nov 29, 2010 edition. Several studies quoted on Vit D3 and the body's need for it. According to the article, Vit D affects people with a lot of disease states. Next time you have blood work done, talk to your doctor about checking your Vit D levels.
If you missed this article, our magazine is still available at the pharmacy.

Animals And Children Concerns
For men and women who use hormone replacement - estrogen, progesterone, testosterone in creams, rubbed on to skin topically - please be aware of side effects to your pets and children. The residue has been becoming a problem just now being seen by vets on patient's pets. Animals may lick the application site or be held/carried and receive hormones that way. Animals already fixed may start exhibiting behavior of unfixed animals. They may also lose hair, or become aggressive. Children/grandchildren may start puberty much earlier if exposed. So please take precaution with these products. Keep the jars and tubes out of reach. Keep the application sites away from where the product may be transferred through touch.
