We Want Your Business!

In 2005 we began taking a lot more insurances. We still take most Workman's Compensation claims with verification - need w/c numbers, name and phone # of adjuster, and date of injury. We still do a lot of 80/20 insurance and recently started doing a lot of Medicare Part D. We do compounding and taste improvement medications. What's your special pharmacy need? Let us know. We'd like to be your pharmacy.

READ, READ, READ, and Live the Life You Want

I have really been reading a lot in 2006. A lot of news is out about diabetes and the impact of it on all ages. Questions have recently been raised in the news on whether high fructose syrup in sodas could be causing diabetes in children.

The first book in 2006 is actually a reread. The Diabetes Cure by Vern Cherewatenko, MD and Paul Perry is interesting because it has brought my fasting blood sugar back in line. We have products in stock that the doctor recommends in his book for controlling blood sugar and weight. Several of my patients are currently using the book's programs and having success.

The second book is What Your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Prostate Cancer by Glen J. Bubley, MD. The interesting thing about this book is how herbs, vitamins, and minerals can impact prostate problems both positively and negatively.

The third book is What Your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Breast Cancer by John R. Lee, MD, David Zava, PhD, & Virginia Hooking. This interests me because my Mom is a 10+ year survivor.
KATHY'S KORNER

Hamburger - Pasta Skillet

1lb. lean hamburger
1/2 large onion, chopped
1 can tomato soup
1 can tomato paste
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 large green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 pkg MACARONI (cooked according to pkg. directions)
1/2 clove garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste
1/4 lb Velvetta cheese (diced)
1 can corn, drained (optional)
1 can green beans, drained (optional)

Brown meat, onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Pour off any grease. Mix soup, tomato paste, and tomato sauce together with 1 c. water. Add to meat mixture. Add cheese, stir until cheese melts. Add macaroni. Stir until well mixed. Add corn and green beans. Stir. Serve.

I like a lot of cheese. You may want to start with smaller amount. I have tried this with pinto beans instead of corn and green beans. Not bad. May try it with rice instead of macaroni. Enjoy it your way.
