A lot is being said in the media about "natural hormones" but how many actually understand the differences in hormone therapy?
Many of the name-brand products that were commonly used are known as synthetic products. That means the basis of these products comes from plants or animals and goes through a chemical change. Therefore, the end result would not be found naturally in your body. Also, drug companies want to patent their drugs and if something is found naturally in your body it can't be patented.
Many studies are available to suggest that natural hormone therapy is so much better than synthetic hormones. Natural estrogen, for example, is not one hormone, but actually many. The three most important are estrone, estradiol, and estriol. Estriol has been proven to be protective against breast cancer. High levels of estriol are found in vegetarians.
So if these studies interest you and you would like more information on natural hormone therapy, such as the tri-estrogen hormone or natural progesterone, give Gary or your doctor a call. We want the best for your health.
We have more information about this subject available. Please call 972-264-0268 or come by 2505 S. Carrier Pkwy with your questions.

Your Compounding Update:
Depending on severity of hemorrhoids, a special suppository has been very effective in providing relief. Dosages and medicines are determined by the doctor-pharmacist-patient triad for patients relief. If hemorrhoids are a problem, this may be your answer.
For some people, there are no prescribed drugs available for their problems because they contain aspirin, acetaminophen, lactose, cornstarch, or something else that causes them problems. Gary can make most of these available without the offending element. He can put the pure drug in a capsule without extra drugs or fillers, which may be the offending element. Have your doctor give Gary a call to solve your problems concerning medicines. Enteric coating allows medicine to break down in the intestines rather than in the stomach, therefore causing less irritation and in some cases better absorption.
A new study has found an amazing help for Crohn's patients using fish oil with enteric coating. For more information on how enteric coating may help you, contact Gary or your doctor.

UPDATE
In an earlier Reflections article, I talked about Ketaprofen. A new study shows Ketaprofen may be the answer to back, arm, and knee problems. For more information about this study, contact Gary.
In Reflections, I write about natural hormone therapy. Many studies are starting to surface about the connection with hormone and osteoporosis. The doctors on local TV news had an interesting study the other day showing its not too late to start and regain bone thickness. For more information on what this could mean to you, contact Gary.
