Mexican Black Eyed Peas
1lb. dried black eyed peas - cooked
1/2 c. - ea. celery, bell pepper, and onion
2 T. chili powder
1 lb. sausage
1 1/2 t. garlic powder
1 T. sugar
1 medium size can tomatoes
salt and pepper to taste
Saute sausage - scrambled style. Add celery, pepper, onion until limp. Add peas, tomatoes, & seasonings. Simmer about 1 hour. Serve with cornbread.
