Your Compounding Update:

Recently a double blind study was done on adults with migraines. Some were given intranasal Lidocaine and others were given placebo.

In the study compared to placebo patients, the intranasal Lidocaine significantly improved headache pain within 2 minutes and reduced nausea within 5 minutes. 50% Reduction was noted in pain intensity with 5 minutes by half the Lidocaine patients. For more information on this medication study,
call Gary at (972) 264-0268.

Reflections

Recently, I went to the Driver's License Bureau to get our daughter's State I.D. While there, I noticed an interesting poster. It stated:
-WARNING-
Mexican Drugs & Texas Law You May Be Subject To Arrest!
If during your visit to Mexico, you obtain Mexican drugs or medication you need to know:
1. "Valid" in Mexico does NOT necessarily mean "valid" under Texas Law.
2. U.S. Customs does NOT necessarily enforce Texas Law.
3. Entering Texas with properly declared drugs or medications obtained in Mexico under a Mexican or U.S. prescription does NOT necessarily mean possession is legal under Texas Law. Texas Dept of Public Safety.

I personally have always questioned how they could keep medications in rooms with no air conditioning while most of ours have very stringent rules concerning temperature control. Some medicines break down in extreme temperatures and become ineffective. Others change and may cause damage rather than healing. Medicines in Mexico are often not regulated as in the U.S. Be aware of the law! A news show showed people coming into the U.S. recently and being arrested. Being in possession of illegal substances isn't something I'd want on my record. Check and make sure it doesn't happen to you. Safety is the key word.
