How are your resolutions coming along? The 2 main resolutions concern health/weight and financial. To encourage these two, here are some interesting ideas.
First - Financial - The most easy-to-follow book I have found is "
The Wealthy Barber" by David Chilton. This book is written on a story theme making it easier to read. Another good book is "
The Automatic Millionaire" by David Bach, which explains how saving money can be easy daily factor. The third book I like is "
The Four Laws of Debt-Free Prosperity" by Blaine Harris and Charles Coonradt with Lee Nelson, which explains the importance of tracking your spending and how to do it.
Second - Health/Weight - One of the biggest reasons we have so many health issues is due to portion sizes as well as what we eat. To change portion sizes, try cutting down by 1/4 to 1/3 of what you normally eat.
Example: Put regular size serving on cornbread on your plate. Now only eat 3/4 of the piece. Leave the other 1/4 on your plate. Before long you'll be in the position to cut back again until you get down to your desired weight. Cutting back on so much fat and sugar goes without saying. Walking is always a good place to start with exercise. Start with walking around the black and slowly add to it. Of course, always start with an OK by your doctor. These are just a few simple ideas to help get back to track with those resolutions. Best of luck to you.
