Dear Friends of Pacific Yoga,

We are getting excited about our third 500-Hour Teacher Training program that begins in February. If you have a 200-hour certificate or equivalent experience, we invite you to attend one of two open houses in October.  Saturday, October 20, Theresa will be at Source Yoga in Tacoma from 6-7pm for those of you down south.  Both Theresa and Kathryn will hold an open house Sunday, October 21, from 5:15-6:30pm at Taj Yoga. We look forward to seeing you at one of these locations!

Thanks to Joel Benjamin, a 2003 Pacific Yoga grad, for his student profile story. We've known Joel for a long time and wish him the best of luck in opening his new studio, YogaSmith, in Georgetown. Read below what he has to say about injury, opening a studio, and his appreciation for community.

Profile: Joel Benjamin and Yogasmith

Pacific Yoga 2003 graduate Joel Benjamin wasn't sure he would ever teach after a low-back injury during his training, but this massage therapist turned yoga teacher overcame the hurdles and has moved from the backyard Yoga Shack to his new studio Yogasmith.

Complex and beautiful, twisting in yoga is deeply satisfying and takes many forms. Focus will be on standing spirals into vinyasa sequences, and seated stationary postures. Registration via Source Yoga.
