Our colleagues in Maai Mahui have made great progress in preparation for the borehole there. At the current center there, children with special needs, who would otherwise be neglected by their families, are rescued, educated and provided health care and physical therapy.
This facility also provides skills training for the mothers of these children, as well as HIV/AIDS training for the entire community, tree planting projects, and holistic community development. You can see more about CTC on their website here.
This facility now has the opportunity to expand to be able to serve many more children and the community as a whole, and Well Aware will be able to provide water for this amazing new project that will be available to the entire community of 40,000 people.
The survey will be conducted for the work there any day now, and, if our current fundraising efforts go well, this community will have an operating borehole by next month!
We want to extend a huge thanks to Jeremiah Kuria (right), the project manager in Maai Mahui, who has already worked tirelessly on getting us ready for the water well there!
