VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED IN LEXINGTON COUNTY
:

The Guardian ad Litem Program is a volunteer program that represents abused and neglected children in Family Court.  Over 300 Lexington County children had a volunteer to speak up for them in 2009-2010. Unfortunately, many more volunteers are needed to fill the growing need in this area. The program is challenging our community to join in their efforts to protect Lexington County children.  The future of our society depends on the community getting involved to make a difference and break the cycle of child abuse.  Our next training starts September 20, 2010. For more information call Karen Joiner at 957-6484, or go to www.lexington.scgal.org
