The East Valley office has been officially open now for over a month and half and has been a flurry of activity.  Official business hours have been set for every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with meetings always available by appointment.  The CVSBDC, Coachella Valley Small Business Development Center, holds counseling hours regularly with businesses in the area.  The Workforce Excellence team is also holding office hours to establish a closer proximity with our East Valley CVEP Scholars.  CVEP has met with three East Valley cities including Coachella, Indio and La Quinta to discuss long term economic development goals and how we can best help them reach those objectives.  We are also actively engaged with the three chambers of those cities as they assist in marketing the services provided by CVSBDC to their members.  CVEP has applied for a grant with IBM for a broadband assessment to provide better services to our residents.  Going forward we will be increasing our office presence as walk-in traffic increases, which at this rate won't be long now.
