A Conversation about RDA's
This week the 2012 Economic Forecast Conference hosted by Claremont McKenna Collegewith the UCLA Anderson Forecast, in conjunction with CVEP brought together internationally noted economists, and industry experts for the first time in the Coachella Valley. The focus of the event included issues and opportunities in this new world without RDA's. Assemblymember V. Manuel Pérez released a statement about the event: "I commend CVEP, Claremont McKenna College, and UCLA for hosting the Conference. This event creates an ideal forum for discussions related to redevelopment and other important regional economic issues, sparking ideas and actions that will translate into stronger communities and support the creation of new jobs. If we continue to work together to help achieve success for our communities, and provide a supportive atmosphere for small business, I believe our region's economic success will prove to be a model for others to follow as the state transitions into the post-recession economy."
