CVEP's Workforce Excellence Awarded Grant
CVEP's Workforce Excellence has been awarded a grant from the Desert Healthcare District for our concentration on Healthcare Workforce Excellence, paid summer internships, tracking of health pathways students into the workforce, nursing workforce development and student support services for our scholarship recipients. We were awarded the full grant of over $485,000. Over the past 6 years the Desert Healthcare District has been a key funder of CVEP's Workforce Excellence initiatives in healthcare, investing more than $1.5 million in the Healthcare Industry Council and the Pathways to Success Scholarship program. We are extremely appreciative to Desert Healthcare District for their leadership and investment in the future healthcare workforce. |

CVEP Sponsors Clean-tech Investor Summit
This week CVEP sponsored the 8th Annual Clean-Tech Investor Summit held in Indian Wells. The summit brings together investors, executives and entrepreneurs for presentations and networking. February is FAFSA Month - Join Us!
Next Friday night, CVEP's Workforce Excellence is hosting a fundraiser to help raise awareness for FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). CVEP's Workforce Excellence team is holding a competition amongst valley high schools and the College of the Desert to encourage students to complete the FAFSA paperwork to help financially send them to college. Join us Friday, February 10th from 4-7 p.m. at UCR Palm Desert Graduate Center for a reception to raise money for the FAFSA Competition.
