Dinner for a Worthy Cause
This next Monday, December 5th, the 3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro in Palm Desert is hosting the First Annual Chef Celebration Dinner benefitting CVEP's Workforce Excellence Program "Pathways to Success". Chef Matt Smith from 3rd Corner appeared on KMIR this week and spoke about the event, click here to watch. This week Bloomberg International News highlighted a story on Riverside County. Featured are Riverside County Supervisor John Tavaglione, and foreign direct investment examples from Japan and Canada. Calling Riverside County "one of the worst casualties of the recession," the story reports on the aggressive strategy by county officials to lure foreign investment bringing in billions of dollars from overseas and creating local jobs.
