3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro, located in Palm Desert will host the First Annual Chef Celebration Dinner featuring five popular local chefs preparing a five-course wine pairing tasting menu on December 5th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.  Proceeds from the evening benefit CVEP's Workforce Excellence program, Pathways to Success, which assists the youth of the Coachella Valley in continued education. The chefs have created a menu showcasing their collective talents. Each course is paired with a wine selection from 3rd Corner's international wine offerings. On November 9th CVEP is participating in a symposium focused on the financial impact of golf and importance of the second home community to the local economy and community at large, industry trends and best practices for planning and collaboration. The significant issue is whether clubs and second home communities can survive and even thrive in this challenging economy. The Golf & Second Home Symposium is to be held on Wednesday, November 9, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort. Presented by Club Mark Corporation, a premier strategist in the private club industry, the symposium will provide an invaluable forum for discussion on how today's economic reality is impacting country clubs and second home communities in the Coachella Valley.
