CVEP News

Good Afternoon, here is a glimpse of what is happening at CVEP.

CVEP Receives Grant from Wells Fargo Foundation

At Wednesday's Board of Directors meeting, Wells Fargo Foundation presented CVEP with a $30,000 check to be used for our Workforce Excellence program. The money will support CVEP's work based learning efforts, connecting local industry partners with local students in health career and green/clean energy career pathways. The Desert Sun covered the board meeting and this check presentation, read more by clicking here.

CVEP Hosts Valley Leaders in Opposition to Senate Bill

Monday of this week CVEP hosted business and valley leaders at the Rabobank Regional Business Center asking Governor Brown to veto Senate Bill 469.  The bill targets specific retailers, making it next to impossible to conduct business in California and also negatively affecting a large group of small business supply chain partners of these retailers.  Media was present at this event including The Desert Sun, KESQ and KMIR, click on the appropriate link to read or watch more about this bill.
