CVEP News

Here is a glimpse of what is happening at CVEP.

CVEP moves into the Rabobank Regional Business Center

This past Monday marked CVEP's first day of business in the Rabobank Regional Business Center and the move was marked with much media presence.  KPSP Local 2 filmed the move and the team rolling up their sleeves to set up their new offices.  CVEP's move was also featured in The Desert Sun and on KMIR 6.  Click the appropriate links to read and watch the coverage.
If you are in the area, don't forget to stop by to say hello!  The new address is 3111 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, adjacent to the Palm Spring International Airport.

Indio Begins Downtown Revitalization

On Thursday CVEP attended the demolition of the Greyhound Bus depot, an important mark in the revitalization of downtown Indio. It was an exciting moment as the vision is becoming clearer of the future east valley campus for the College of the Desert. Congratulations to the City of Indio and to all other partners in this historic event.

COD Receives Major Grant

CVEP long time partner and supporter, College of the Desert has been chosen to receive $600,000 from the California Employment Development Department (EDD) in a grant that builds upon the work the campus'  Desert Energy Enterprise Center (DEEC) has been performing under the state Clean Energy Workforce Training Program. The grant will help the Center continue and expand upon its successful and critical workforce training curriculum in the renewable energy sector. Congratulations to the College of the Desert!
