CVEP in the News
This week's issue of The Public Record features a story on the CVEP -Pathways to Success Scholarship awards ceremony. Over $1.8 million was awarded to local students; the story includes a picture of some of the CVEP scholars excitedly accepting their well-deserved funds for college.

America's Top States for Doing Business
This week, CNBC announced findings of their annual study "Top States for Doing Business." What is the best state for doing business? Virginia won the overall ranking with Texas following in a close second place. The study measured all 50 states on 43 different metrics in ten key categories of competitiveness ranking, the key categories include cost of doing business, quality of Life, education, business friendliness to name a few. Where did California fall in this ranking, number 32 overall. California was ranked number one in "Technology and Innovation" as well as "Access to Capital" but was dead last in Business Friendliness, 48th in Cost of Living and 47th in Cost of Business.
