Here is a glimpse of what is happening at CVEP.

CVEP Client Gets Unanimous Approval

Congratulations to CVEP client, Thermal MotorSports Track & Club, on the unanimous approval this week by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. CVEP has been and will continue to support and assist the track and club as they move forward into the construction phase. CVEP sees a multitude of potential economic benefits with this project. According to a recent economic analysis by Dr. John Husing at least 477 jobs will be created along with over $70 million in economic impact. Thermal MotorSports Track & Club is taking place within the "sphere of influence" of the Jackie Cochran Airport, an area with great potential for job expansion and recruitment. Supervisor John J. Benoit to Install New CVEP Board

On Wednesday, June 15 at 8:00 a.m., CVEP will hold its annual investor meeting. Riverside County Supervisor John J. Benoit will be on hand to install CVEP's Board of Directors for 2011-2012. Agenda to include the State of CVEP, Workforce Excellence update, and a progress report on the development of the Rabobank Regional Business Center.

CVEP and Desert Regional a Successful Partnership

In this week's issue of The Public Record, the front page article features the successful partnership between CVEP's Workforce Excellence and Desert Regional Medical Center through the Healthcare Industry Council. The program is now recognized by the Ford Motor Company's Fund's Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies as a national best practice program. Tangible results are now being demonstrated by the partnership, as students who have participated in this program are beginning careers in healthcare here in the valley. Healthcare is recognized in the Economic Blueprint as one of the core industry sectors for opportunities here in the Coachella Valley. To read the full article please click here.
