Coachella Valley Energy Summit a Success!

The 2011 Coachella Valley Energy Summit held yesterday was very well attended and the information presented both informative and entertaining.  With five keynote speakers and various panels including all the mayors representing the Coachella Valley as well as professionals in the renewable industry, the program agenda covered a wide variety of renewable energy topics.  The day was complete when actor and environmentalist Ed Begley Jr. shared his simple remedies to choosing a green lifestyle and how simple it is to reduce your carbon footprint.

CVEP Hosts Renewable Tour in Coachella Valley

Today as the Coachella Valley Energy Summit continues, a sold out bus tour will be traveling to some of the most forward thinking and cutting edge renewable sites in the Valley.  The Renewable Tour will start by visiting wind turbines by Wintech, a visit to COD's Desert Energy Enterprise Center, getting a sneak peak at the solar farm and geothermal system at The Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands, learning about the region's hydrogen production facility and 6th generation hydrogen buy at SunLine, followed by seeing the newly installed ground mounted solar at Xavier College Prep High School as well as HCPV solar technology at Granite Construction and finishing at a biomass-fueled facility, Colmac Energy Inc.  This event is sold out but we look forward to holding this tour more often in the very near future.   Special thanks to all attendees, the companies facilitating the tour stops and Renova for sponsoring this event.
